Seattle slugger Cal Raleigh extended his homero streak to four at-bats on Tuesday night, tying the Mariners' record for consecutive homers. During his first at-bat against the Philadelphia Phillies, Raleigh hit a 362-foot shot to right field, marking his 18th homer of the season. This match the record set by Mike Cameron on May 2, 2002.

Raleigh led off the second inning against Philadelphia's Aaron Nola with the historic shot. The streak ended in the sixth inning with a strikeout against Nola. The Mariners' team record for consecutive homers is five, set by Edgar Martinez on May 17-18, 1999. Cal Raleigh had struggled all season, finishing as the runner-up for the AL MVP the previous year with 60 home runs.

Before the series against Philadelphia, he had a .159 batting average and 14 homers. On Monday night, he hit three homers in a 9-2 win against the Phillies, including one in his first at-bat.
