Siphesihle Ndlovu stunner to the rescue for Kaizer Chiefs in four-goal Richards Bay thriller

Kaizer Chiefs settled for a point after drawing 2-2 with Richards Bay in a lively Betway Premiership match at Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday night. The game's drizzle, which began just before kickoff, may have contributed to the intensity of the play, especially from Richards Bay's defenders. Despite the weather, the home crowd remained highly vocal throughout the contest.

Richards Bay took the lead in the eighth minute when Nqaba Xulu made the most of a back pass, deflecting the ball into the net after a disorganized attempt by Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Petersen to control it. Chiefs responded quickly, capitalizing on a penalty awarded in the 17th minute after Thembela Sikhakhane handled the ball inside the box.

Lebohang Maboe converted the spot kick, equalizing the scores. Ndlovu's deftly dragged cross from Asanele Velebayi found its way into the roof of the net, securing a draw for Kaizer Chiefs and leaving Richards Bay content with a point in their KwaZulu-Natal struggle.
