Serena and Venus Williams will play doubles together the US Open

Serena and Venus Williams, the renowned American tennis sisters, have announced their partnership for the doubles event at the U.S. Open. The announcement came after they received a wild card invitation to the prestigious tournament, marking their return to competitive tennis after a four-year hiatus for Serena. The sisters, who previously clinched the doubles title twice at the U.S. Open in 1999 and 2009, have an impressive record of 27-7 in their nine appearances together.

Serena, currently 44 years old, recently made a triumphant return to tennis, playing mixed doubles at the Cincinnati Open with Carlos Alcaraz, winning one match before being eliminated in the quarterfinals. On the other hand, Venus, 46, is already registered to compete in the women’s singles event.
