Season preview: Bayern’s dominance overshadows Bundesliga on Klopp’s return as Germany coach
German football's top division, the Bundesliga, prepares for a new season on Friday, as Jürgen Klopp returns to coach his native nation. Bayern Munich's dominance is expected to overshadow the competition, with the Bavarian powerhouse likely securing their third consecutive league title. Former West Germany great Lothar Matthäus predicts Bayern will win the Bundesliga by more than 10 points.
Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern's Bundesliga doubles champions, and Stuttgart, the team with the most settled squad among Bayern's rivals, are expected to lead the rest of the pack.
