Raj Babbar pays tribute to Kuku Kohli

Veteran actor Raj Babbar has paid tribute to filmmaker Kuku Kohli, mourning his loss as a "deep, painful void" in Indian cinema. Babbar remembered Kohli's humility, kindness, and warm nature, highlighting his contribution to Hindi cinema through memorable films like "Phool Aur Kaante," "Suhaag," "Haqeeqat," "Anari No. 1," and "Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa."

The 'Barsaat' actor particularly recalled "Phool Aur Kaante," which marked Ajay Devgn's debut and granted him instant recognition. Sharing a picture of Kohli, Babbar wrote, "His passing leaves a deep, painful void in Indian cinema. He was not only a filmmaker of note but also a man remembered for his quiet dignity, humility, and rare warmth.

I remember him as gentle, respectful, and always willing to help." Babbar expressed condolences to Kohli's family, Aruna Irani ji and his children, Pooja and Karishma. The veteran actor was not part of any theatrically released film directed by Kohli but was included in his unreleased project "Kohinoor." Director Kuku Kohli passed away at the age of 77 on August 25, with Abhay Sinha, president of the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association, confirming his demise.
