The devastating floods, triggered by a sudden surge of water and debris in the Bhote Koshi River near the Nepal-Tibet border, have destroyed roads, bridges, settlements, and hydropower infrastructure. Rescue operations are underway, but are hampered by challenging terrain and disrupted communications. Many travelers, presumed to be Indian citizens, remain unaccounted for.

Gandhi's plea comes as families anxiously await news of their loved ones. He also expressed solidarity with the Nepalese people and all those affected by the disaster, urging the focus to remain on rescuing those still missing and supporting the affected families.
