Quote Of The Day By Jack Lowden 'There Is Courage In Persevering, But There Is Courage In Calling It A Day As Well...'
Slow Horses star Jack Lowden knows the power of persevering - and the power of making a good pivot.
In a recent 2024 interview, Scottish actor Jack Lowden shared his thoughts on courage and pivoting in one's career. He stated, "There is courage in persevering, but there is courage in calling it a day as well." The actor made these remarks while promoting Slow Horses Season 4. Lowden's perspective on this matter stemmed from observing friends in the film and TV industry who decided to exit acting and pursue alternative paths.
He commended these individuals for utilizing their acting skills in other capacities within the industry. Additionally, Lowden shared his own experiences with self-doubt and how repetition and experience helped him overcome his insecurities about being in front of the camera. His advice for aspiring actors is to recognize when to quit chasing a dream and instead use their talents in different or unexpected ways, even if it means deviating from an initial aspiration.
Lowden emphasized that while it's admirable to chase dreams and achieve goals, life doesn't always unfold as planned. In such instances, acknowledging when something isn't working can provide an opportunity to learn, grow, and potentially find better opportunities.
