Qatar Charity's Integrated Development Programme drives lasting change across Nepal

Qatar Charity's Integrated Development Programme Phase II, spanning 2022-2026, showcases the effectiveness of coordinated investment in vital areas like water, education, livelihoods, healthcare, and disaster preparedness in Nepal. With grants totaling NPR1.264 billion and expenditure of NPR1.116 billion, the program delivered 3,003 development and 9 emergency-response projects, directly benefiting over 119,693 individuals across essential services.

Education initiatives encompassed school construction, scholarships, learning materials, bicycles, laptops, and sanitation facilities, improving access and quality for disadvantaged students. Social housing, women's livelihood initiatives, small-business support, agricultural inputs, and livestock programs bolstered household incomes and self-reliance for women, persons with disabilities, and low-income families.

The WASH, health, and hygiene sector, comprising 1,969 interventions, served 62,837 people through shallow tube wells, water purification plants, cataract surgeries, ambulance support, and disaster response measures. Nine emergency-response projects aided 19,060 people impacted by climate risks and natural disasters. Overall, the programme advanced Nepal's progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing community-centered approaches to translate funding into tangible, lasting benefits for underserved populations nationwide.
