Promised one bride, married to another: Not ‘looteri dulhan gang’ says Gujarat HC granting bail to marriage bureau operator

The court emphasized that Kavita was not part of such a gang, merely solemnizing a marriage with another woman.

The case revolved around Rs 5.10 lakh allegedly collected as brokerage by Kavita and her husband for arranging a marriage, but the nephew ended up marrying a different woman. The court found that Kavita's role in the matter was limited to facilitating the marriage, and she was granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 25,000 with one surety, as the investigation was complete and there were no further grounds for detention.
