Pinamonti set for Lazio medical as Ratkov opens door to Sevilla

Andrea Pinamonti has been granted permission to undergo his medical examination at Lazio, with the striker set to arrive in Rome on Wednesday. The move is believed to be in place as Sassuolo nears a deal for Sebastiano Esposito, whose transfer from Cagliari is nearing completion. Lazio did not release Pinamonti until his replacement was secured.

Meanwhile, Petr Ratkov has indicated that Lazio may consider letting him leave for the first time this summer, after previously rejecting offers from Dinamo Moscow, Southampton, and Red Star Belgrade. Sevilla's interest in the player has been expressed, with the Spanish club viewing him as a potential replacement for their forward line.

The deal would likely be structured as a loan with an option to purchase. Ratkov's departure, coupled with the move of Gabriele Artistico to Serie B, would create space for Lazio to sign another striker to replace the departed players. Gennaro Gattuso had requested a center-forward before the transfer window closed, with Padova reportedly in discussions for such a player.
