Oyetola condemns Osun killings, tasks police, others on security

Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, expressed deep sorrow over the rising post-election violence and loss of lives in various parts of Osun State. In a statement, he urged the police and other security agencies to take immediate and decisive action to restore order and protect the citizens. Oyetola, who is also a former governor of Osun State, lamented that the attacks on residents were an affront to the state's peace, heritage and democratic values.

He emphasized that there is no political ambition or commercial interest that could justify sacrificing human lives. Oyetola called on all stakeholders to reject violence and engage in constructive dialogue to resolve their differences. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims, and charged the Osun State Police Command and other security agencies to act swiftly to restore peace and ensure accountability for the perpetrators of the violence.
