Ogogo’s family debunks report of daughter giving childbirth

The family of late Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, has refuted rumors circulating online that his daughter, Shakirat (Kira) Taiwo, had given birth. Haleemah (Lima) Taiwo, another of Ogogo's daughters, posted a statement on her sister's Instagram page on Wednesday, clarifying the untruthful claims. She emphatically stated, “DISCLAIMER.

This is not true.” The family, grieving the loss of their father, requested that the public cease the dissemination of unverified information during their time of mourning. They mourned the passing of another brother, Dele Odule, and announced a tribute for late colleague Ogogo.

The viral video, which circulated with the claim, depicted the infant as "My Daddy's Carbon Copy" and alleged the birth took place shortly after Ogogo's burial. Ogogo, a veteran of Yoruba cinema, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after a fight with stage-four cancer. He was laid to rest the next day in Ilaro, Ogun State, following Islamic rites.
