“Now I’m calm:" Footage of rescue of Israeli who accidentally entered Ramallah

Border Police officers in Israel recently rescued an Israeli citizen who accidentally wandered into Area A, a Palestinian-controlled region near Ramallah. Upon learning of the individual's entry, Border Police dispatched a team to locate the person. The officers successfully reached the Israeli via phone, then guided him out of the restricted area. It's illegal and dangerous for Israelis to enter Area A, which is under Palestinian Authority control.

On Sunday, soldiers from the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories' Civil Administration performed a successful rescue operation in the West Bank. Three Israeli Jews had separately entered Palestinian-controlled areas near Bethlehem, Jericho, and Ramallah. One of the men was spotted armed near Ein Arik village.

Coordination and Liaison Administration officers worked together to safely extract him and transfer him to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). All three Israeli individuals were then turned over to police for further handling.

Simultaneously, the Civil Administration was alerted about an Israeli Jewish woman walking through Jericho, located in the Jordan Valley. The woman had entered the city intentionally and was at risk. The Jordan Valley Coordination and Liaison Administration acted swiftly to rescue her. An initial investigation revealed her deliberate entry into the Palestinian city.

In Bethlehem, an Israeli man displaying signs of mental distress was seen wandering the streets. Residents alerted security forces, who quickly handed him over to the authorities.

All three incidents were transferred to the Judea and Samaria District Police for further handling. The security establishment emphasized that entering Area A, under Palestinian Authority control, is illegal and poses significant danger to individuals.
