Nigerian wanted in India over 3.3kg MDMA seizure

Indian authorities have issued a Look Out Circular against Emmanuel Afam, a Nigerian national, following his alleged involvement in the seizure of 3.3kg of MDMA in Kerala. The seizure occurred near the Pantheerankavu toll plaza in Kozhikode, prompting the Kerala Excise Department to intensify its investigation into the drug case.

According to a report by the United News of India, nine individuals have been arrested so far in connection with the case. The Onam Special Enforcement Drive, which commenced on August 1 and will continue until August 31, has led to the filing of 8,241 cases and 36,633 arrests across the state. The Kerala Excise Department has intensified its efforts by conducting surprise raids and inspections at various drug and liquor hotspots, suspected storage locations, and hideouts of habitual offenders.
