My employee stole from me – Tolanibaj claims

Acclaimed DJ, former Big Brother Naija contestant and businesswoman Tolanibaj has revealed her distress after accusing a former employee of stealing valuable DJ equipment from her academy. The multi-million naira equipment was entrusted to Precious Akiyemi Deborah, who served as an executive assistant in April. Tolanibaj claims she entrusted her with over ₦6 million to purchase four DJ controllers for her academy.

However, weeks later, she discovered that three of the controllers were missing from the academy premises. When questioned, Precious reportedly claimed she had taken them home because they were faulty. The DJ subsequently terminated her employment and dispatched staff to retrieve the equipment from Precious' residence. Upon their arrival, they reportedly found no one there.

Tolanibaj further alleged that Precious had attempted to sell the controllers and had even contacted another DJ about renting similar equipment. After reporting the matter to the police, two individuals were arrested for allegedly purchasing the controllers. One of the stolen controllers has since been recovered. The emotional DJ appealed to anyone with information about Precious' whereabouts to contact her.

Tolanibaj also emphasized the importance of business owners implementing stronger structures and accountability measures to safeguard their businesses and assets.
