MP Govt Turns Focus To Gen Z, Farmers Amid Protests; Launches Outreach Drive

The Madhya Pradesh government is intensifying its efforts to engage with Generation Z and farmers amid ongoing protests. Recent student demonstrations in Delhi, Jharkhand, and Patna, coupled with the farmers' agitation in the state, have heightened the government's concerns. The rise of Generation Z and Generation Alpha has also played a role in these protests.

In response, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has launched Yuva-Krishi Samvad, a program aimed at connecting with these young groups. The initiative plans to be organized in every district across the state. The government aims to win over the youth and farmers through these outreach programs.

To achieve this, the administration has begun organizing events in schools and colleges to interact with students. Yadav has already engaged with children during the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan, a state-wide campaign. During a recent event in Kamla Nehru Sandipani School, the capital city, Yadav directly interacted with the students.

The government has further divided the youth into five groups based on skill development according to Niti Aayog reports. These groups include school-going children, college-going students, youth working in both organized and unorganized sectors, and those who were deprived of education, jobs, and self-employment. Many of these individuals have migrated from rural areas to cities but face challenges due to lack of resources.

The government is focusing on addressing the needs of these underprivileged youth. Additionally, the Bhopal Gas Tragedy case has been directed by the Supreme Court to the Madhya Pradesh High Court to handle all medical matters of the gas victims, ensuring time-bound compliance.
