The developer has called for transparent mechanisms to verify construction milestones and access appropriate construction finance. Key aspects of the proposed National Housing and Built Environment Regulation Policy include mandatory licensing for developers and estate agents, escrow protection for buyers' funds, improved land administration, urban renewal, and a National Housing Industry Regulatory Commission.

Mixta Africa's Chief Commercial Officer, Tola Akinsulire, emphasized the importance of independent verification of construction milestones and the need for credible developers to access financing options beyond off-plan payments. The company believes that a combination of strong buyer protection and effective project governance, along with sustainable construction finance, can build a more transparent and investable housing sector without limiting the supply of new homes.
