'Master of Escapes' caught in Spain after fourth prison break

The notorious fugitive known as the Master of Escapes has been apprehended by Spanish authorities following his fourth escape from prison. This latest breakout occurred from a high-security facility in Italy, where the man utilized sawed-off window bars and knotted bedsheets to descend to freedom. Prior to this most recent escape, he had broken out of prisons in Terni, Parma, and Belgium, employing a variety of ingenious methods to outsmart the law.

Despite the sensational nature of his repeated escapes, described by police as something straight out of a movie, authorities have not disclosed the Master of Escapes' identity or the reason for his imprisonment, other than labeling him dangerous. He was apprehended in the northeastern Spanish city of Tarragona, where he was found hiding among a group of individuals who were reportedly trying to aid his escape.

One of the accomplices allegedly assaulted two police officers during the arrest. The fugitive was in possession of false identification papers and two suspected counterfeit 500-euro notes. He is currently being held in provisional custody without bail, awaiting extradition to Italy.
