‘Love Island USA’ Renewed for Season 9 at Peacock, Host Ariana Madix to Return

Peacock announced the renewal of the dating competition series "Love Island USA" for a ninth season on Wednesday. Emmy nominee Ariana Madix will once again serve as the host for the upcoming season, which is set to premiere five days before the Season 8 reunion airs on Monday. The reunion event will feature host Andy Cohen alongside Madix and is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. PT.

"Love Island USA" Season 8 has seen impressive viewing numbers, with over 19 billion minutes watched since its launch on June 2. The streaming platform also revealed that the series held the No. 1 position for streaming titles during the summer, according to Nielsen data as of July 16.

A sneak peek from the upcoming reunion episode offered a glimpse of the drama expected between contestants Melanie Moreno and Sol Mýa, Beatriz Hatz and the other women, as well as Kenzie Annis. During the teaser, Hatz can be heard saying, "If you don’t like me, go f–k yourself." Kayda Bosse made an entrance, questioning, "If he was treating you like that, why did you f–k him again?"

Throughout the preview, viewers saw several couples embracing, including Trinity Tatum and Bryce Alakai and Aniya Harvey and Carl Schmidt. However, the dynamics between Melanie Moreno and Sincere Rhea appeared strained, with them sitting apart on the couch.

This season, "Love Island USA" successfully attracted new audiences to Peacock, with 35% of the audience consisting of new viewers. The streaming service has extended its investment in the "Love Island" franchise, renewing "Love Island: Beyond the Villa" for a third season, which is expected to launch early 2027, along with Season 3 of "Love Island Games."
