Liverpool must pay £80m to land Brighton forward Yankuba Minteh

Liverpool must pay a staggering £80 million to secure the services of Brighton & Hove Albion forward Yankuba Minteh, according to sources. The Merseyside club has made two unsuccessful offers for the Gambian striker, including a £60 million bid. However, Liverpool appears unwilling to meet the £80 million asking price, and the Reds will not return to negotiations unless the fee is significantly reduced.

Following Mohamed Salah's departure, Liverpool is desperate to strengthen their right flank, having previously tried to sign Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye without success. Minteh, who has scored three goals and provided four assists in 34 Premier League appearances, is a specialist right-winger with Premier League experience and is known for his unpredictability in the final third.

However, considering his current injury status and the astronomical asking price, paying such a hefty fee for a player who has not consistently delivered up to 10 goals or assists in a season would be a risky move for Liverpool.
