Leao returns to Milan training but remains up for sale in final week of transfer window

Rafael Leao has returned to training with AC Milan after missing nearly two weeks, but the Portuguese forward remains available for sale during the final week of the summer transfer window. Milan's efforts to find a buyer for Leao have been ongoing throughout the summer, following the player's desire to move on at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

The 22-year-old has expressed his interest in playing in either the Premier League or La Liga, although various clubs across Europe, including Aston Villa, have shown interest. However, Milan have not yet finalized a transfer with any of these clubs. Head coach Ruben Amorim has downplayed Leao's importance to the team, while young substitute Alphadjo Cisse has quickly established himself, scoring his first Serie A goal in Milan's opening match of the 2026-27 season.

With only one week left in the transfer window, Milan continues to hold onto Leao's registration, and Galatasaray has presented an offer of €42m, including bonuses, but has yet to surpass Milan's €50m valuation.
