(LEAD) Hyundai Motor to expand global production capacity, launch over 100 models by 2030

Seoul, South Korea is set to witness a significant expansion in Hyundai Motor Co.'s global production capacity by 2030, with the company aiming to produce over 5 million vehicles annually. CEO Jose Munoz announced plans to introduce more than 100 new and updated models, including hybrids and electric vehicles, to strengthen the automaker's presence in the global market.

Hyundai's sales targets remain unchanged, with a goal of selling 5.55 million vehicles worldwide by 2030, with 60% of those being electrified vehicles. The company also aims to improve its operating margin to above 9% in 2030, up from the previously projected 8-9%.
