Kwara: Close ranks, unity key to 2027 victory – Saraki to PDP members

Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has urged members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State to unite and work together towards victory in the 2027 general elections. Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki's press officer on local matters, conveyed the message to party members and supporters in Ilorin, where Saraki addressed them at his residence on Wednesday.

Saraki expressed gratitude to the state's people for their unwavering faith in his leadership and dedication to the state's progress. He also lauded party members and aspirants for their sacrifices, maturity, and commitment to the party, particularly those who supported the party's candidates despite the internal processes' outcome.

Saraki praised the party members for their accommodating attitude towards former All Progressives Congress (APC) members who recently joined the PDP in various wards and local government areas. He emphasized that the party's strength lies in its ability to unite members, reconcile differences, and collaborate towards a common goal.

Some National Assembly candidates who attended the gathering expressed their loyalty and commitment to the PDP's ideals and Saraki's leadership, vowing to work collectively for the party's success. The meeting reaffirmed the spirit of unity, reconciliation, and collective commitment within the Kwara PDP as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
