Kerajaan fokus tindakan susulan laporan RCI TH

Malaysia is concentrating efforts on implementing the follow-up actions from the Diraja Siasatan Suruhanjaya (RCI) report on Tabung Haji (TH), as stated by Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi, aligning with the advice of Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim on August 8th. The government asserts its full cooperation with the Prime Minister's Department (PMD) PAC, provided any assistance is required.

The primary focus currently is on ensuring the thorough and decisive execution of actions based on the RCI TH report. Established in July 2021, the RCI TH consists of six respected individuals approved by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah. These members encompass legal experts, public administrators, bankers, Sharia scholars, and auditors, ensuring the investigation is unbiased, fair, and free from interference.

During today's meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi reported a proposal for PM PAC to form a special committee to investigate TH's management from 2017 to date, following allegations the previous RCI report did not provide direct guidance towards any individual. Senior Associate Law Minister Takiyuddin Hassan also endorsed the proposal, open to PAC's siasat or a new RCI to investigate TH's asset distribution and management period post-2018.

The PM PAC Chair, Mas Ermieyati Samsudin was reportedly in agreement, emphasizing the importance of probing TH's management, financial, and investment status, and performance.
