Jed York bodycam arrest video shows stunned 49ers owner’s prostitution bust

Jed York, the owner of the San Francisco 49ers, made an unexpected absence from the NFL owners' meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. This came shortly after his arrest in East Palestine, Ohio, for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. His charges were later reduced to disorderly conduct, but the incident has caused significant embarrassment for the billionaire owner.

Reports indicate that York used the false name "Joe" and contacted a woman through a known prostitution website multiple times prior to his arrest. York arrived at the designated location with $160, prepared to pay for one hour of sexual services. Bodycam footage of York's arrest has now been released, showing the 49ers owner looking shocked as he was taken into custody and placed in a police vehicle.

York was dressed in a New York Yankees T-shirt, basketball shorts, and tennis shoes when he was pulled over in a Volkswagen SUV. During his arrest, York claimed he was "just driving" and worked in real estate. Police discovered several hundred dollars and two cell phones in his SUV's center console. One of the phones activated when a test text message was sent from the number used in the undercover operation.

York was sentenced to one day in jail for the misdemeanor charges and fined $1,150. Despite the arrest, 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan stated that the incident would not impact the team's performance on the field.
