IDF strikes kill Hamas terrorists, destroy terror ambush point near hospital in Gaza

On Tuesday, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) targeted a Hamas-operated structure in the Jabalya area of the Gaza Strip, according to a statement released by the military on Wednesday. The targeted facility served as a strategic ambush position for Hamas terrorists and as a storage depot for an array of weapons. Located roughly 50 meters from the Yellow Line, 70 meters from Kamal Adwan Hospital, and 170 meters from a school, the structure exemplified Hamas's pattern of utilizing civilian and humanitarian infrastructure, which contravenes both the ceasefire agreement and international law.

Upon their arrival, IDF forces discovered the structure brimming with weapons and planned to carry out an attack on IDF troops. Reacting swiftly, the forces neutralized the threat by destroying the building and eliminating several terrorists. The IDF's approach was characterized by precision, employing munitions with pinpoint accuracy and conducting extensive aerial surveillance to minimize the risk to nearby civilians.

This incident occurred in the wake of a previous operation in which the IDF and Israel's Shin Bet security agency assassinated Ismail Abu Pul, the commander of a weapons production site at Hamas's headquarters. Abu Pul was responsible for manufacturing explosives and anti-tank missiles, which were used in terror attacks. The military emphasized that the recent strike against the weapons production site, situated near an international aid distribution point, further underscored Hamas's practice of exploiting civilian infrastructure to orchestrate and carry out attacks against IDF forces and Israeli civilians.
