Hyderabad firm secures ₹1,600 crore order from Rolls-Royce

Sigma Advanced Systems, an aerospace and defense components manufacturer, has secured a significant order worth around ₹1,600 crore from Rolls-Royce. This long-term contract, facilitated through its UK subsidiary Bromford Precision Solutions, builds upon an earlier agreement worth approximately ₹3,800 crore. The new contract enhances Sigma's product offerings, manufacturing capabilities, and content across key aerospace programs.

By acquiring Bromford, Sigma gains superior manufacturing expertise in aero engine rings, casings, and advanced precision manufacturing. This acquisition enables Sigma to supply a wider range of complex engine components from its India and UK facilities, creating a more comprehensive dual-source solution aligned with Rolls-Royce's directives.

CEO Sunil Kalidindi noted that leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) like Rolls-Royce are increasingly drawn to India, valuing not just cost advantages but also engineering depth, quality, and scale.
