Horrifying! Iron Rod Pierces Shoulder & Comes Out Through Mouth As 13-Year-Old Boy Falls From Surat Building

In Surat, a tragic incident occurred when a 13-year-old boy named Nazish fell from the third floor of a building and suffered a severe injury. According to reports, Nazish, a student at Darul Uloom Mehmudia Madrasa, was playing with friends on the mosque's third floor when he jumped onto an adjacent under-construction building. As he lost his balance, he fell to the ground below, where an exposed iron rod pierced his shoulder and emerged from his mouth, leaving him critically injured.

The boy, who hailed from Bihar, was immediately rushed to Surat Civil Hospital, with the metal rod still protruding from his mouth. At the hospital, doctors stabilized him before performing urgent CT scans to assess the extent of his internal injuries. A multidisciplinary team of specialists, including plastic surgeons, ENT experts, and anaesthetists, were assembled for the high-risk surgery.

Securing Nazish's airway was particularly challenging due to the rod blocking his mouth, but the anesthesia team successfully accomplished this task.

The surgical procedure lasted approximately an hour, during which doctors carefully removed the rod without causing damage to any major blood vessels. Additionally, ENT specialists addressed minor injuries to a salivary gland and the surrounding neck muscles. Nazish is currently recovering in the intensive care unit, with plans to transfer him to the general ward once his condition stabilizes further.
