Gabriel India bets big on cars that drive themselves

New Delhi - Gabriel India Ltd, a major auto components manufacturer, has announced a strategic partnership with South Korean firm HL Klemove to bolster its presence in the rapidly growing autonomous driving industry. The joint venture, named HL Klemove India Pvt Ltd, will see Gabriel India acquire a 30% stake, for roughly USD 98.44 million, or Rs 935 crore.

Anjali Singh, Executive Chairperson of ANAND Group and Gabriel India, expressed optimism about the new collaboration, stating it will bolster the company's standing in key automotive systems and enable deeper involvement in future-focused mobility and automotive technology.

Vice Chairman Jaisal Singh of ANAND Group emphasized that Gabriel India aims to build scale, enhance competitiveness, and broaden its presence across high-growth automotive sectors. This joint venture with HL Klemove represents a crucial step in achieving these goals.

Autonomous driving and automotive electronics technologies are increasingly vital as India's automotive sector evolves towards smarter and safer mobility. HL Klemove, one of the few globally renowned companies with established development and manufacturing capabilities in autonomous driving, including ADAS and automotive electronic technologies, will collaborate with Gabriel India in this high-growth segment.

This partnership will strengthen Gabriel India's engagement with automakers and fortify its position in the rapidly changing mobility landscape.
