Four youth arrested in Ranipet for possession of country-made bombs

Four youths were apprehended by Banavaram police near Sholinghur town on Wednesday, accused of possessing three homemade bombs and sharp weapons during a routine vehicle inspection. The suspects, K. Sanjay Kumar, 22, B. Ranjith, 22, T. Mani, 21, and N. Kumaran, 23, were taken into custody after a special police unit, acting on Superintendent of Police P. Sibin's orders, conducted a surprise check on a vehicle traveling from Banavaram to Sholinghur on the Banavaram – Sholinghur Main Road.

The team discovered the explosive devices and weapons hidden in the car and subsequently arrested the four individuals, who were subsequently lodged in the Central Prison in Vellore. Investigations are currently underway to determine the full extent of the alleged criminal activity.
