Ferrari World stages women-only indoor run

Shamsa Al Mheiri, Director of the Emirati Women’s Chapter and Special Projects at PureHealth, is at the forefront of empowering Emirati women in the UAE. With over 20 years of experience in quality and excellence assessment, Al Mheiri believes empowerment goes beyond helping individuals advance in their careers. It involves creating an environment where women can grow, take on responsibility, and create opportunities for others.

Al Mheiri’s journey began in quality and excellence assessment, where she spent more than 15 years examining how organizations and individuals develop their capabilities against internationally recognized models. During her tenure, she was entrusted to establish the Emirati Women’s Chapter by PureHealth’s leadership. This initiative aims to empower, inspire and develop Emirati women, reaching more than 200 women who work with mentors and coaches over a period of six to nine months.

The program’s success isn’t measured by the number of participants who complete it, but by how many go on to open doors for other women. Reflecting on the 2026 Emirati Women’s Day theme, "We Emerge Stronger and Better," Al Mheiri emphasizes that progress should be viewed as a collective achievement. She attributes this strength to a community that stands together, celebrates diversity, places responsibility early in women, and champions their success.

Al Mheiri advises young Emirati women to understand their strengths and the contribution they want to make, starting now as the future is today. For the future of Emirati women, she hopes they will continue to embody the values of wisdom, patience, and unity while adapting to change. Al Mheiri believes that our greatest achievement will not be our personal progress, but how many others progress because we opened a door.
