Falconets arrive in Poland ahead of U20 Women’s World Cup

The Brazilian Women's U20 National Team has started settling into their accommodations in Poland, where they will participate in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup from September 5 to 27. Upon arriving in Krakow on Tuesday night, the team immediately began adapting to the new time zone and climate.

According to the team's physiologist, Rodrigo Aquino, the adaptation process began with the proposal of Professor Camilla, who shared this approach with the entire health and performance department. Aquino praised the collective effort, expressing gratitude to the Confederation of Brazilian Football (CBF) for their support and logistical dedication.

Aquino explained that given the five-hour time difference involved in traveling eastward, one day of adaptation is necessary for each hour of time difference. This gave Brazil a significant advantage, as they arrived ten days before their first match. The team will continue to adapt to the Polish culture, climate, and stress levels before their World Cup debut on September 5 against Tanzania.

On Wednesday, the players took a tour of the hotel and, on Thursday, their first training session will be held on the field. The delegation will remain in Krakow until September 30, when they will relocate to Bielsko-Biala, the city designated as their base during the first phase of the World Cup. Aquino emphasized the importance of a multidisciplinary approach within the team, involving various areas such as physiology, physical preparation, psychology, physiotherapy, nutrition, and medicine.

This collaborative effort ensures that the coaching staff can make informed decisions to support the players' well-being and performance. The team's matches will be played at the Bielsko-Biala Stadium at 10 a.m. Brasília time.
