EPL: Marmoush joins Spurs on loan from Man City

Tottenham Hotspur have secured a loan deal for Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush, with an option to make the move permanent for £60 million next summer, according to BBC Sport. The 27-year-old Egyptian international struggled for regular playing time at Manchester City, where he joined from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 for £59 million.

Marmoush, who scored 16 goals in 62 appearances across all competitions for City, was often a second choice behind Erling Haaland and found it difficult to break into the starting lineup. He made just eight league starts and contributed 700 minutes, finishing the 2025-26 season with three goals and three assists. Marmoush's move to Tottenham could prove beneficial as he seeks first-team football and provides versatility for manager Roberto De Zerbi.

The Egyptian can operate across the frontline, having experience playing as a center-forward, second striker, and from the left wing. Tottenham's summer spending reportedly exceeded £312 million, including the acquisition of Savio from Manchester City, as they aim to strengthen their attacking options.
