Doom Composer Mick Gordon Contributes New Track to Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2

Auroch Digital and Big Fan Games have announced renowned composer Mick Gordon will be providing a brand new track for their upcoming 1990s-style first-person shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2. This fresh auditory addition will join the game's release on October 14 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The trailer, introduced alongside the announced platforms, introduces gamers to the game's primary antagonist, Vashtorr the Arkifane, a daemonic demigod associated with inventors, engineers, scientists, and artisans.

IGN's preview of Boltgun 2 praised its pixelated, immersive depiction of the grim 42nd Millennium, noting it stands out among other hyperrealistic portrayals like Space Marine 2. Mick Gordon's previous work on Doom and Doom Eternal has earned him acclaim, though his contentious relationship with Doom Eternal's executive producer, Marty Stratton, was reported earlier.

Gordon will now also be performing his Doom 2016 soundtrack live at the RADAR 2027 tech-metal and prog music festival in the United Kingdom, marking his first live performance of the tune. IGN's Senior Editor, Luke, covered the announcement.
