‘Don’t cry, nothing will happen to me’ — Yinka Quadri recalls Ogogo’s final words

Actor Yinka Quadri, a close friend of the late Ogogo, has shared the conversation he had with Ogogo at the hospital just hours before the latter's death. According to DAILY POST, Ogogo passed away from stage 4 cancer on Sunday and was laid to rest in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, the following day. Quadri was visibly emotional at Ogogo's funeral, and he has now disclosed what his late friend told him hours before his demise.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Quadri described Ogogo as his "twin brother from heaven," born to different mothers. He revealed that Ogogo told him to stop crying a few hours before his death, assuring him that nothing bad would happen. Quadri confessed that he couldn't hold back his tears upon seeing Ogogo in the hospital, and the actor expressed his sorrow, saying, "I will never forget the last time I saw you at the hospital. You were lying on your sick bed, and when I saw you, I could not hold back my tears."

In a moment of reassurance, Ogogo told Quadri, "Yinka, don't cry. Nothing bad will happen to me." Quadri responded, "Yes, Amen." A few minutes later, Ogogo asked him to give him a bottle of water from the table. Quadri obliged, and as Ogogo drank from it, he questioned the doctors to verify whether he had eaten that morning. The doctors confirmed that he had indeed eaten, and this realization led Ogogo to say, "Yinka, can you see that I drank the water, even though I ate this morning?"

At that pivotal moment, Quadri exclaimed, "Glory be to God," and his faith was further strengthened. However, the doctors advised them to remain hopeful and pray.
