Medical and healthcare staff in all districts will undergo training as part of the program. Naidu highlighted the importance of predictive, preventive, curative, and cost-effective healthcare, calling for increased use of AI-based healthcare services, such as an AI doctor system. He also stressed the significance of safeguarding health data privacy and security, developing monitoring dashboards, and promoting lifestyle changes through improved food habits.
The Chief Minister directed officials to address sanitation issues, outsource hospital services, and eliminate inefficient service providers. Additionally, he suggested developing a system to send health updates to citizens directly via their mobile phones.
The Sanjeevani project has demonstrated positive outcomes in the pilot districts, with 56% of hypertension cases brought under control, a 16% reduction in diabetes severity, and a significant increase in primary healthcare service utilization. According to a public awareness survey, 91% of respondents reported improved health awareness after using Sanjeevani services.
The project is being developed as an AI-enabled healthcare system, covering the entire healthcare cycle from screening and diagnosis to treatment and follow-up. Attendees at the review meeting included Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav, Health Secretary Veerapandian, Joint Secretary Ronanki Gopalakrishna, and representatives of Tata MD.
