Chelsea ace Omari Kellyman joins RC Strasbourg on a permanent deal

Chelsea's overlooked talent Omari Kellyman has officially committed to RC Strasbourg, bringing an end to a challenging two-year tenure at the Premier League club. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder, who joined Chelsea from Aston Villa for £19 million in 2024, has sealed a permanent transfer after agreeing to a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 side.

Despite initial hurdles, Kellyman's loan spell at Cardiff City last season proved pivotal, earning him the EFL Young Player of the Month award and a crucial role in Cardiff's promotion campaign. His impressive performances caught the attention of Strasbourg, who signed him permanently. Chelsea, however, maintains a buy-back clause, preserving the option to reacquire the young player if circumstances change.

Kellyman will join fellow Chelsea loanees Filip Jorgensen and Genesis Antwi, along with former Blues defender Ben Chilwell, in Strasbourg. The club's association with Chelsea has intensified in recent transfer windows, with players like Valentin Barco, Emmanuel Emegha, and Diego Moreira moving in the opposite direction.
