Casting News: Kate Winslet's Netflix Revenge Drama, Heated Rivalry Adds Two, And More

Kate Winslet is set to star in Netflix's upcoming limited series, "The Unheard." The drama will feature Winslet and Maxine Peake as two sisters who embark on a perilous journey after a reckless act of vengeance goes awry. The series, penned by Jack Thorne, who previously wrote the Emmy-winning script for Netflix's "Normal People," will consist of five episodes.

Thorne's previous Emmy win was for his writing in "Normal People." Winslet, widely recognized for her acclaimed film roles, including "Titanic," "Sense and Sensibility," and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," has also made a mark in television. Her Emmy-winning performance as Mare Sheehan in HBO's "Mare of Easttown" adds to her impressive television credits, which also include roles in "The Regime" and "Mildred Pierce."
