Camilo’s ‘Vida de Rico’ Enters YouTube’s Billion Views Club

Camilo, the Colombian singer and songwriter, has achieved a significant milestone on YouTube by reaching one billion views on his 2020 hit single, "Vida de Rico." Directed by Camilo's wife Evaluna Montaner, the music video is the second of his songs to achieve this remarkable feat, following their 2018 breakout collaboration with Mau y Ricky and Manuel Turizo, "Desconocidos."

Upon its release, "Vida de Rico" ascended to the top spot on the Latin Airplay chart (Jan. 30, 2021), securing the position for 16 consecutive weeks, and also dominated the Latin Pop Airplay charts multiple times. Camilo performed the hit during both the virtual Latin Music Week hosted by Billboard in 2020 and the 22nd annual Latin Grammy Awards the following year.

Currently, Camilo is on a worldwide tour titled "Camilo Worldwide Tour," which is set to visit nearly 40 cities across more than 15 countries in Europe and the Americas, concluding in his native Colombia on December 11 at the Movistar Arena. Ahead of his tour, Camilo expressed that he is anxious to begin working on his next album, his fifth studio project following his successful fourth album, "cuatro," released in May 2024.

Regarding his songwriting process, Camilo emphasized that he is not a perfectionist but rather strives for "good enough" and is motivated by the idea of performing his new music live for his fans during his upcoming tour.
