Banks Double Down on nCino AI Agents After Using Initial Credits

nCino's CEO Sean Desmond announced on Tuesday that banks have doubled down on the company's AI agents after using up their initial credits. During an earnings call, Desmond stated that some customers had reached the limits of their initial Intelligence Unit bundles and have come back for more. Intelligence Units are part of nCino's pricing model that aligns the cost of its AI products with the customer's usage and value obtained. nCino added AI agents called Digital Partners, including Executive, Analyst, Service and Processing Digital Partners, to its platform in November.

As of the end of the most recent quarter, more than 230 customers had purchased Intelligence Units, a significant increase from the 110 customers that had purchased them by late 2025. One U.S. enterprise customer reported saving 160,000 hours per year by using the "locate and file" functionality of nCino's Banking Advisor, resulting in annual savings of over $5.5 million.

These AI initiatives also contributed to multiyear renewals with 20 of nCino's largest U.S. enterprise customers, representing over $900 billion in assets.
