Bago condemns killing of village head in Niger palace

Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has expressed deep sorrow over the murder of Galla Village Head Alhaji Ahmed Yusuf, who met his end in Borgu Emirate's palace, allegedly carried out by suspected bandits. The deceased was also the sibling of Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security.

In a condolence statement, Bago vehemently condemned the attack on the traditional ruler within his palace, labeling it as a clear manifestation of the "boldness and high level of insolence" displayed by the bandits. He directed security forces to ensure that those responsible for the heinous act are apprehended and brought to justice.

Bago offered his condolences to Senator Sabi Abdullahi, the deceased's family, the people of Galla, and the entire Borgu Emirate for their immense loss. He emphasized that Yusuf led a good life and perished while safeguarding his subjects, urging the bereaved family and community to find solace in his admirable legacy. The governor prayed that Allah bestow the deceased with the highest level of paradise, Jannatul Firdaus, and comfort his family and the people of Borgu Emirate.

Bago assured the grieving family, the Galla community, and the entire Borgu Emirate of his unwavering support.
