341 foreign tourists missing after flash flood kills at least 95 on Nepal-Tibet border

At least 95 people lost their lives after a massive flash flood struck the Nepal-Tibet border region, according to Nepali police spokesman Abi Narayan Kafle. The disaster left 403 tourists, of which 341 were foreigners, unaccounted for, the ministry of culture, tourism and civil aviation reported to AFP.

Nepali Prime Minister Khilraj Shah conveyed his sympathies, assuring the public that the government would provide all necessary support, including rescue operations, medical care, food, and shelter. He emphasized the collective responsibility of the nation during such a crisis.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his condolences and offered assistance to Nepal. He reaffirmed India's solidarity with Nepal, stating that the country is ready to extend all possible humanitarian aid. Both nations are working in close coordination to carry out rescue and relief efforts.
