2027: Malami inaugurates over 600-member ADC campaign council in Kebbi

Former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, recently inaugurated a new Campaign Council for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State. The council, which comprises over 600 members, is tasked with coordinating the party's campaign efforts throughout the state and supporting all ADC candidates in the upcoming elections.

During the inauguration, Malami emphasized the importance of unity among the ADC members, urging them to work together as a single political family, from the Governorship to the Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly.

The Campaign Council was established to strengthen the party's grassroots structures and ensure a peaceful, lawful, and issue-based campaign. Malami warned against tribalism, sectionalism, and internal rivalry within the party, stating that such divisions could negatively impact the party's electoral prospects. Instead, he called for reconciliation and dialogue to resolve any disagreements within the party.

Members of the campaign council were tasked with mobilizing supporters and taking the party's message to local governments, wards, and communities across Kebbi State.

Malami emphasized that the council's appointments were a responsibility to serve, rather than a reward. He urged members to work collectively towards the party's success in the elections, discouraging hate speech, ethnic provocation, and personal attacks against political opponents.
