This occurred after she had previously requested another individual to purchase items on her behalf. Kim claimed that she only collected the funds after such purchases were made.

The Seoul High Court's Criminal Division 15-3 heard evidence from 정 전 행정관 during the first hearing of the appeal against the charge of 'special trust relationship' in Kim's case. 정 전 행정관 confirmed that Kim had previously purchased a 3990 million won Bashaeron Constantin wristwatch from 로봇개 사업가 서성빈, paying the full amount herself.

When questioned about a 1325 million won purchase, she admitted to using her credit card to cover the cost. She explained that the ceramic dish was needed for 국빈 티타임 events, as the current set was too old. 정 전 행정관 further revealed that she had paid 147 million won using her credit card for a flower arrangement purchase in December 2022, and also paid 1325 million won for Kim's benefit in January 2023.
