Watchman found dead with head injuries at Kahawa Sukari worksite

Police in Ruiru, Kiambu County, are currently investigating the murder of 35-year-old John Ngila, whose body was found inside a room at a worksite on Felma Road in Kahawa Sukari. Ngila, a watchman and his brother were at the site when his brother discovered his brother's body around 11:22 am. The mason at the scene reported that Ngila's lifeless body was lying on the floor in a supine position.

Upon arrival, police officers documented the scene and the body. It was discovered that Ngila had sustained multiple injuries to his face and head, including a deep cut on his cheek, while a blood-stained wooden timber found near a bed in the room was collected as evidence. Ngila's brother reported that the deceased had previously been threatened by another watchman due to allegations that he was spying on the employer.

However, this threat was never reported to the police before Ngila's death. Detectives are working to determine if the reported threats are connected to the murder as they investigate the surrounding circumstances. Crime scene investigators from Juja processed and documented the scene before transferring the body to the Kenyatta University Hospital Mortuary, where it is being preserved for a postmortem examination. The motive of the murder remains unknown, and a search for the suspect continues.
