Ukrainian forces resume strikes on Russia's Wildberries amid reported attack in Tambov Oblast

On August 26, Ukrainian forces resumed targeting Russia's largest online retailer, Wildberries, following several days of attacks on competitor Ozon, monitoring channels reported. An explosion rocked Tambov Oblast and Ukraine's occupied territories, with a Wildberries logistics hub in Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast, being struck and set ablaze by Ukrainian forces.

This attack follows a major assault on Wildberries' largest logistics hub in Moscow Oblast, according to Ukraine's General Staff. Additionally, Ukraine targeted occupied Luhansk on August 26, where a large explosion and subsequent fire occurred, according to Exilenova Plus. In Crimea, electricity was intermittently switched on and off in the Bakhchysarai district and Simferopol city for about an hour on August 25 amid Ukrainian strikes, as per the pro-Ukrainian Telegram channel Crimean Wind.

Explosions were also reported in the Saky district and near Yevpatoriya on the Crimean peninsula. However, authorities have not yet commented on these reports, and the details remain unverified. Ukraine has been striking deep within Russia to weaken Moscow's capacity to continue its war efforts. Recently, Ukrainian forces targeted Russian military infrastructure and Wildberries competitor Ozon.

On August 24, a large-scale overnight attack was launched by Ukraine, striking Ozon logistics centers, the Kombinat Kamenskiy defense-industrial facility, and a MiG-29 fighter jet in Russia. Ozon logistics centers were also reportedly targeted in Russia's Samara Oblast on August 22 and in Orenburg overnight on August 23.
