Tottenham signs Savinho from Man City to take summer spending to more than $400M

Tottenham's summer spending surpassed $400 million by signing Brazil winger Savinho from Manchester City, according to recent reports. The deal, valued at 85 million pounds ($115 million), represents Tottenham's largest single transfer of the summer. This is in addition to the club-record 100 million pound ($133 million) purchase of Italy midfielder Sandro Tonali from Newcastle and the 85 million pound ($113 million) signing of midfielder Mateus Fernandes from West Ham.

New Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi was impressed with Savinho's energy, imagination and creativity, stating that the 22-year-old has the potential to be a top player.
