This country will change if Adeleke becomes President – B-Red

Nigerian singer B-Red, whose real name is Adebayo Adeleke, has expressed his belief that Nigeria would undergo significant changes if his father, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, were to become President. This statement came to light through a 2023 interview on the Echoroom podcast, which recently resurfaced on social media.

The governor, who was re-elected in the August 15, 2026 Osun State gubernatorial election, secured a victory against the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, with a significant lead in votes. In the interview, B-Red was questioned about the potential for his father to ascend to the presidency of Nigeria. Despite this, B-Red expressed a desire for his father not to run for the presidency due to the strain it could place on the family.

While acknowledging his father's kind-hearted nature, B-Red asserted that he knew the president his father would become. He believed that if elected, his father would prioritize the needs of Nigerians, striving to improve their lives rather than seeking personal enrichment. B-Red emphasized that his father's intention was to help people and not to use public office for personal gain.
