The Pixel 11 doesn't record your life; it records the version you wish had happened

Sony's new Xperia 10 VIII competes with Google's Pixel 10a, offering a unique blend of features. Unlike the Pixel 10a, the Xperia 10 VIII keeps the 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD expansion up to 2TB, a physical camera shutter button, front-facing stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. These features give the Xperia 10 VIII a more physical interaction compared to its competitors.

The Xperia 10 VIII boasts a 6.1-inch 120Hz OLED display that is about 50% brighter than its predecessor, and its front stereo speakers are 15% louder with more than 30% stronger low-frequency output. The phone weighs 168 grams and has a 5,000mAh battery, providing around two days of battery life. It also comes with IP65/IP68 protection and Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Sony's hardware philosophy still holds true in the Xperia 10 VIII, with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, 8GB of RAM, and similar camera hardware. However, the price is higher at around €599 in Europe and £549 in the UK. Sony promises four OS upgrades and six years of security updates, which is competitive, but falls short of Google's seven years of updates.
