Taraba council chairman embarks on bush tour, reaffirms zero tolerance for insecurity

The chairman of Ibi Local Government Area in Taraba state, Emmanuel Ubandoma, has reaffirmed his administration's zero-tolerance stance on insecurity. During a recent bush tour, he emphasized that the protection of lives and property is his top priority. This assurance came as he supervised and monitored security operations alongside law enforcement officials, aiming to evaluate the current security situation, pinpoint vulnerable areas, and fortify security measures across the council.

In his role as Chief Security Officer, Ubandoma personally visited critical entry points, remote areas, and other locations susceptible to criminal activities. He also engaged with security personnel, assessed their operational obstacles, and endeavored to bolster their spirits in carrying out their duties. Ubandoma stated that the security tour was part of his administration's commitment to ensuring residents could carry out their lawful activities without fear.

Ubandoma stressed that peace and security are indispensable for economic growth and sustainable development. He warned that no meaningful progress could occur in an environment marred by insecurity. "Peace and security are the bedrock of development. I will not sit idle while my people are not safe. We are going everywhere to ensure Ibi is safe," he affirmed.

The council chairman pledged that his administration would continue to collaborate closely with security agencies and relevant stakeholders to thwart threats and respond swiftly to emerging security challenges. He urged residents to stay vigilant and cooperate with security operatives by providing useful information that could help prevent crime and safeguard communities.
